The Need for Reliable Advocacy for People with Intellectual Disabilities Programs
Seminole County Public Schools has hundreds of students with disabilities enrolled in its schools. These students are permitted to receive educational services and support until they reach the age of 22. Once these adults reach the age of 22 they are compelled to seek private programs and or family members are left to cope as best they can. The lack of cognitive development prevents those aging out of public schools from becoming independent or less reliant upon their families. These families are faced with the daunting task of juggling work and trying to locate or provide vocational and educational services to maintain their child’s current level of development, so they do not regress and place more stress on their families. Rapid Programs Inc. was created to meet this need in Seminole County. Our facility will have state of the art technology and once accepted into our program, young adults will have access to our computer lab, game room, and other on site activities.
We invite you and your family to spend a day with us to visit our staff and facility.
